Paige Guinn is that mom and teacher. She’s worked in early childhood education for the past 11 years — and has made countless play dough kits for her students.

On Halloween evening of 2022, she wanted to make some kits for her students and had leftover materials. She made a few extra kits, offered them up on Facebook, and work up to 15 orders. She rolled with it from there, and now here we are!

Paige has a masters degree in special education and is working toward becoming a board certified behavior analyst (BCBA).

A proud public school teacher, mom to, penny and now a business owner!

Penny Dough Play Co. was founded by a mom and a teacher looking for an answer to a problem…

About Penny Dough’s Play Dough Products

Paige has seen first hand the benefits of imaginative play for not only young learners but older kiddos as well.

Play dough ignites the child within and allows kids to find a safe and soothing activity while speaking about feelings. It allows their hands to be preoccupied while they may be talking about some pretty heavy stuff.

In addition to providing emotional support, these kits allow kids to learn fine motor skills, problem solving skills, foundational literacy skills as well as math. Bet you didn’t think all that could come in a box of play dough!

Penny Dough is unique in its design is that EVERY item placed into that box has an intentional purpose. Each kit also comes with a QR code that allows parents to scan it and pull up different ideas of how to use our kits. Even with this robust guide, you can still simply present the kits and see where your child takes them.

Penny Dough in the News!

Paige was delighted to be interviewed and featured in the Nashville Voyager.

“Don’t look back and don’t overthink. I had this idea and a week later had my site up, social accounts live, and was selling kits. That’s obviously not feasible for all businesses, but as much as possible, don’t let yourself talk yourself out of it.”
